OH MY GOD,

I know every one wants to save the world by not using plastic anymore, But Seriously!!

I’m so pissed off with this hypocritical subject I am bashing away on my plastic keyboard which is attached to a plastic computer, ON A Plastic coated frigging worktop!!!!!

I’m just having a midweek rant, that’s all I’m doing.

Plastic straws are killing penguins are they??? Here’s a plan, start selling paper straws? That Are Supplied In A Plastic Container!! 

Please please please, tell me i’m not the only one that can see this ludicrous crazy shit unfolding in front of our very eyes?

Plastic Straws!! They are literally sucking people in.

It was plastic carrier bags not so long ago, remember? 5p will save the aquatic world!             Are supermarkets legally bound to charge you for a carrier bag?   NO                                                                     Can supermarkets legally charge you for a bag if they are promoting their name or brand on that bag?  NO                                                                                                                                   Are smaller shops legally bound to charge you for a bag?  NO  (depending on the square footage size of the premises)                                                                                                                           It used to be 5p for a bag, it’s more than double that now on average, and where does that money go? Not in the Dolphins pockets, that’s for sure.

I am old enough to remember the days before wheelie bins. Back then, we used to have one, maybe two black bags of rubbish and they were collected weekly. Now, with all the packaging, we fill our wheelie bins within a few days. Everything in the supermarket is packaged in plastic.

It never lasts very long either! When I was a kid potatoes came in a sack and lasted weeks and weeks. Now, they come wrapped in plastic and last a few days. Pesticides and the idea of spending money more frequently may have something to do with that mind.

All I keep hearing lately is how dangerous plastic is for the environment. Where do you think plastics come from?… No?… Any guesses?  Let me tell you, They come from the Environment!!! Reverse engineering on plastics to reuse them again and again is a more viable option than using paper for straws………….for example.

I know for a fact, whoever reads this isn’t stupid. I have comfort in the knowledge that the “people”, which covers most of us, have a level of intelligence high enough to realise that we are being bullshitted to, regarding recycling. Just before you start throwing rotten veg at me, (which could have been recycled by the way),   I am all for recycling. It just needs to be done properly. Recycling is a way of saving money, not a way of making money! And this is the problem. Government outlines for recycling require a profitable returnable figure by the local councils. This is the problem we can never overcome. When those at the top want to see pound signs as a way of declaring anything a success, we the people, can never win. As “They” or “Them” at the top, control all the money.
